Structure: Two actors, two complementary roles

ENIM appoints and works in close collaboration with the Network Coordinator.

ENIM tasks

ENIM brings together Europe's rail Infrastructure Managers (IMs) and provides strategic direction at European level. It contributes to the development of policies and legislation and facilitates alignment among infrastructure managers on long-term objectives.

Network Coordinator tasks

The Network Coordinator is responsible for supporting ENIM in the operational implementation of the Capacity Regulation. It facilitates coordination of IMs, development of common methodologies and European frameworks for capacity and traffic management, elaboration of procedures for the monitoring of the performance, and provides common European digital tools and services. The role of network coordinator is performed by RailNetEurope.
